Dominic Warman

Physics to recruitment

Having gained a Physics degree from Reading University, Dominic took what his professors described as an odd step & joined a London based recruitment consultancy. He’s been building his reputation in the profession ever since & prides himself in having over 17 years experience working with the Media, Entertainment, Tech & Retail Industries, with a particular focus on Film, TV, Music, Games, Virtual Reality, Digital Content, Ecommerce & Consultancy.

The last 15 years were spent at one of London’s most successful & well-known media recruitment companies. There he helped grow the business from 8 to over 70 staff, by evolving their client/talent base to take advantage of the advances in consumer technology. Clients included Warner Bros, 20th Century Fox, NBC Universal, Asos.com, Paramount Pictures, The Walt Disney Company, Sony Computer Entertainment, Universal Music, Warner Music, Office, Avalon, Sony Pictures, Red Bull, Bacardi, Sainsbury’s Entertainment, IFLScience.com, Live Nation & Ticketmaster.

Having managed several divisions over the years, Dominic’s recruiting expertise spans the Sales, Marketing, Tech, HR and Finance disciplines, across all salary levels. In more recent years he managed the Executive Search Division, before becoming Business Development Director.

Some of his traits include:

A fascination of all things science, especially the latest consumer technologies & trends.

Being a huge consumer of films. Whether it’s going to the cinema, streaming through almost every subscription service or getting a glimpse of things to come in virtual reality, Dominic will have done it.

Being a big fan of museums and culture – he tries to visit something new almost every other weekend.

Not a lot of people know that:

He has over 50 hours flying experience with 14.5 hours solo on fixed wing Piper Archer aircraft.

He considers the 4 hours he spends volunteering at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children the best part of his week!

Dominic founded Huckleberry through his enthusiasm for the profession & a deep-rooted desire to bring back the high level of customer service & industry knowledge seldom present in modern recruitment companies.
